During my first trip on board, we delivered the vessel from Quequen Port to Mar del Plata, around 6hs trip, we dropped anchor and sight was beautiful, my home town by night. That early morning we heave up and being with tugs we entered to dockyard. My mentor that time was 2nd. Mate Ivan Devic, he was very kind and attentive, a professional.
I was deployed to join Shipyards, luckely hometown Mar del Plata. I got the chance to learn the vessel, her bottom doors, pipelines. It was really nice We had a great team SPI Shipyard and JDN TD´s work. Fabian Piorizzi was in charge of this great safe and productive shipyard.
We the newbies Captain Bernardo and I were going through all the dredging pipes doing thickness and tear measurements. We did a great job and we learned about how sand harmful can be. We got the chance to see how a dredge pump is dismantled, sea inlet remote valve seals renewal.
We got the vessel back to Ops. Paraná River northern Buenos Aires waterways.
People on board were great they made it happen!
